All You Need to Know About Our Sustainability Partner: eStar
Operating throughout the North-West of England and North Wales, eStar is a Mercedes-Benz Van and Truck retailer, specialising in electric mobility. As a company with a commitment to keeping people moving, they focus on supplying the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicle technology, in a bid to innovate and improve the efficiency and sustainability of businesses across the region.
Who?
Established in 2020 by industry leaders Sid Sadique and Ali Sharifi, eStar has gone from strength to strength in delivering an unrivalled brand experience, commitment to sustainable growth and an ongoing, impeccable service to the commercial vehicle community. In addition to their expert leadership team, eStar also employs over 340 skilled individuals across the North-West and North Wales.
The leadership team comprises Managing Director, Steve Bridge (former Managing Director at Mercedes-Benz Vans), four board directors and 16 heads of departments. Collectively, this leadership team boasts over 26 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry. With their valuable experience combined with over 15 years of Mercedes-Benz brand expertise, eStar consistently delivers and encourages ethical and sustainable growth to their retail customers, micro businesses, and SMEs.
What?
eStar is a Mercedes-Benz Van and Truck retailer, specialising in electric mobility. It’s their mission to work in partnership with the transport community, providing a consultative approach to ensure sustainable growth for now and for the future. They can provide customers with anything from a small, panel van to a large, fully electric people-carrier, as well as HGVs. Their unique position in the industry enables them to serve both the business and lifestyle community, but eStar’s services are not just limited to the supply of vehicles. This company is also dedicated to keeping people moving, and operates 24-hour servicing, delivered by highly skilled Mercedes-Benz Technicians.
When & Where?
Having just passed their first birthday, eStar has been innovating and growing exponentially since 2020. Currently, they have sites in Deeside, Stoke-on-Trent and Trafford Park. In addition, they recently invested in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility near Knowsley, which will open its shiny new doors within the next few weeks!
Why?
When the business of a former Mercedes-Benz Vans and Truck dealer in the North West and North Wales failed in September 2020, Sid Sadique understood how crucial it was for the commercial vehicle community in the region to have the support they needed, not least as the UK was still in the grip of the coronavirus pandemic; ambulances, food and parcel delivery, and vaccine transportation all needed to carry on, but without the incumbent dealer in place, things could have been catastrophic. Consequently, Sid, alongside business partner Ali Sharifi, took over five sites across Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke and Deeside, and in the process of this takeover, over 300 jobs were saved and eStar was established.
Why Community is Important to eStar
The central focus of eStar’s mission is to serve the commercial vehicle community. With aspirations to keep vital businesses operating during the peak of the pandemic, eStar’s dedicated team worked together to keep the van community moving. This commitment prevented the transportation of food, parcels, medicines, and vaccines from coming to a standstill. With this passion and dedication, a sense of community is achieved at eStar.
Here at MYP, we are excited to unite our communities in advancing our knowledge about sustainability. By working together, we can ensure a future that focuses on sustainable growth and spread the message of how important it really is. Going forward, we will be hosting a series of events for our MYP community to get involved with (quick clue – it involves food!). Stay tuned for more information and event details from our sustainability partner.
