Ted’s Italian tour with WeRoad
It’s one thing to talk about what makes WeRoad different, but hearing about it from someone who has experienced it really brings home why this new approach to travel works so well. Ted Crowson, a member of the MYP community, recently experienced it firsthand on a trip to Italy.
Like many young professionals, Ted was looking for a way to travel that didn’t involve the hassle of coordinating a large group of friends or the stress and uncertainty of going completely solo. WeRoad offered the perfect middle ground.
Here’s what he told us about the trip…
‘’I’d recommend WeRoad to anyone who was toying with the idea of booking a trip through them. Exploring Naples and the Amalfi Coast was so much fun, and always better to share the experience with a group full of like-minded people, perfect for solo travellers especially if you fancy having some new mates join you for a few €1 Aperol’s in the Spanish Quarter after a day of exploring!
We got to pack in plenty on the trip and kept a fast-pace to be able to see and do as much as possible. Personal highlights included a pizza-making class with unlimited wine, a sunset boat trip around Sorrento, and walking the Path of the Gods with a traditional Italian sing-along on a hillside farm with spectacular views of the coast, led by a local who lived for the performance and to entertain the crowd.
There was another group of Spanish ‘WeRoaders’ who we joined up with for a lot of the activities and really brought la fiesta! Some great friends and memories made around the stunning Amalfi Coast. Sadly I’ve rinsed my annual leave for the year, but I’ll be back on the site looking at what else I can book for next time.’’
