Tell us a bit about who you are and what you do.
Axon Moore Group is a specialist Executive, Permanent and Interim financial recruitment
group that operates across the North West. We have a dedicated team that specialises in
supporting Newly Qualified ACA, CIMA and ACCA Accountants looking for new
opportunities, ranging from private equity-backed SME’s to large PLC’s.
How did you get involved with Manchester Young Professionals?
One of the many perks of working at Axon Moore is being provided the freedom to network extensively across Greater Manchester, building relationships with young professionals and forming long-lasting relationships. An initial meeting to grab a beer with the MYP founders has resulted in a collaborative relationship since. Looking to stay true to our own values, we look to constantly align ourselves with outfits like MYP who can provide value to our own network.
What do you and MYP do together?
We have sponsored the Christmas party for the last three years running, a favourite in the
diary for the Axon Moore guys. It is always an easy sell with the tickets often selling out fast!
What’s your favourite thing about Manchester?
Manchester has a culture that is unrivalled across this country. You can never stop
discovering new coffee shops and bars, all with a different vibe. Whether you live in the city or just outside in places like Didsbury it’s always easy to find somewhere with a great
atmosphere. It’s easy to see why people move here.
What’s been your favourite Manchester Young Professionals event?
I enjoy the annual Christmas Party, it’s a great addition to the festive season and allows
Young Professionals to meet and share some food/drinks in a relaxed manner away from
the more corporate calendar
What’s up next for you and Manchester Young Professionals?
There isn’t really any limit. MYP are constantly expanding their range of networking events, looking to carve out a USP and provide genuine value. This aligns perfectly with what we want to do at Axon Moore and no doubt there will be plenty more successful events arranged in the future.
