Celebrating MCR is our way of saying ‘good job’ & ‘smashed it’ to young professionals across the city of Manchester. It’s the people of Manchester that make it such an amazing place, so it’s time to shout about them!
Sale Sharks Flanker Tom Curry has come of age over the past couple of months, playing a pivotal role in England’s magnificent run to the Rugby World Cup Final, which unfortunately ended in defeat at the hands of South Africa.
Whilst England fell agonisingly short in the final against South Africa, Curry has been rewarded for his efforts this season and in Japan by making the six-man shortlist for World Player of the Year!
We’re excited to see Curry and World Cup winner Faf De Klerk back in action for Sale Sharks over the coming weeks at the AJ Bell Stadium!
Tom and his twin brother Ben played the vast majority of their youth rugby at Crewe and Nantwich RUFC, before joining Sale Sharks’ Academy in 2016. Since then, he’s broken into the Sharks first team and at the tender age of 21, has become an integral part of the English team.
The list of Sale stars doesn’t stop there – friend of MYP Josh Beaumon (pictured above with Curry) is also a key part of the sale team, along with new international signings Lood de Jager and Mark Wilson both returning from World Cup duties too!
